Alicia Jackson comes home
After a series of deceptions, the bank foreclosed on Alicia Jackson's home. On May 1, 2012, with the help of about three hundred people, Alicia Jackson reclaimed her home. The Occupy community, ONE: The Black Working Group, and We Are Oregon accompanied her to her home, moved her and her possessions into it, helped clean inside and out, cleared the weeds and brambles from her back yard, and planted a garden. Throughout the day, people chanted, "This is what community looks like."
