kk+ and Scales - Shanghai, China

I don't even want to think about how many hours we'd been awake at the point this photo was taken. Scales and I left Vancouver at noon on Friday, landed Shanghai at 3pm on Saturday... it was light outside our whole plane flight.

Once we landed we checked in to our hotel (the Ritz Carlton this time around... w00t) and headed over to our friend John Hancock's house for a BBQ and poker game. After I taught the boys how the game is played we headed out to another friend Schlomo's apartment for a fun China-stylee halloween party hosted by 2 Japanese girls who dressed up as naughty nurses. The party was great... we met a ton of cool people from all over the world living and work here in Shanghai as well as several cool local Shanhainese peeps. About the time was winding down a group of super fun (and super fucked up) French expats showed up. We all hung out for a while and then our group and theirs decided to go to Attica. It was a wicked club... you should Google it. I don't know how or why, but apparently we were on the guest list there. Nice.
