The 2011 season is officially here! Go Braves! Time to run roughshod over all of baseball on the way to claiming that immortal prize!
Braves catcher Brian McCann starts another all-star game for the National League and wins another silver slugger. Atlanta wins 95 games and takes the National League's eastern division title. Dan Uggla drops 40+ bombs and drives in 120. Renewed shall be blade that was broken; the crownless again shall be king.
congratulations to b-mac, who drove in the braves' first run of the season. it was a two-out hit that scored chipper from second base against the nationals and livan hernandez.
congratulations, this time, to jason heyward, on his second straight first-at-bat homer of the season! also to d-lowe and to craig kimbrel, with their respective first win and save of the year!
big ups to b-mac on his first homer of the year! it was a true bomb.
happy day! b-mac gets the game-winning hit against the hated nationals in the bottom of the tenth to secure a 6-5 braves victory!
many thanks and much love to all who visited this piece from dave o'brien's ajc web-log post of post-game quotes from this game!
b-mac comes through yet again with that pinch-hit home-run with two-out and two-strikes in the bottom of the ninth to tie the astros 1-1! then, incomprehensibly, he hits a two-run, walk-off bomb in the bottom of the eleventh for the win! man alive, mac has true all-world skills. the man's a baseball genius.
many thanks to those of you visiting from my favourite no-holds-barred braves web-log, capitol avenue club.
congratulations to b-mac on being elected to start his first all-star game! i voted the allotted twenty-five times and couldn't be happier for him, or for the other braves chosen to participate. to wit, chip-chip, venters, jair, and of course mac.
