You made the Gothamist with this shot, I. I thought it was a scene from the Golden Compass.

Thanx LunaPk!!

G - they took it down yesterday because the 2nd Ave Deli reopened and they wanted to point to that event with a foto. But today it's back up, which makes me smile...As does your thinking this was from the Golden Compass. Thank you.

Cheers Trois Têtes!

Pixydust, I'm honored.

very nice. Are those ermine holding up the squirrel for his acorn, or have I become cynical? (actually not an either/or question).

Ha Niznoz, that's so funny!

Course it's whatever you want to see it as, but the original idea was that the squirrel is offering the acorn to his friendly neighborhood ermines. I've gotta say, I really like your idea. It could be so funny if that angle was played-up...

That's funny - my first take on the image was "awww, how cute." Now, after reading Niznoz's comment, I can only think, "what rats those ermines are; poor mousy."

My Dog Sighs - I'll just say that they belong to the great outdoors.

RubyMae, that's funny. It's great that they can be seen in such different ways...!
