Night of 1,000 Cops by Irene Roxanne (aka Irena Kittenclaw).

10 million cops surround homicidal, rapist, drug-pushing, tree-huggin, crack addict bicyclist! LOL! Unreal...about halfway to Columbus Circle, the group I was riding with was whittled down to about 10 people...more like Critical Handful.

We rode the 6th Avenue bike lane as 15 or so cops followed us. I'm not sure what this guy did to get a summons...

similar situation in brighton, uk. cops now cycle with the group and try to predict which way they're heading and radio ahead. then the group decides to head a different way. It often ends up with a split group but by that time the point is already made.

Man that's crappy. I haven't done ours yet here in SF, but I took some shots on Friday and it seemed pretty fine here, just a few police escorts, somewhat harmonious.

it takes about 4 NYPD with scooter, paddy wagons and whatever else to give a guy on a bike a ticket. Probably for stopping in the bike lane ... or being photographed without a permit, maybe ... um ... oh yea, not being in a car! That seems to be the main offense.
