360 degrees from Sentinel Peak

(Bigger is better.)

View from Sentinel Peak (9634 feet, 2936 meters) in the Panamint Range. Prominent in the center is Telescope Peak, the high point of the range (11,048 feet, 3367 meters). To the right of Telescope Peak is Death Valley, and to the left is Panamint Valley.

Sentinel was a bit of a bastard to climb. I approached the peak from Panamint City to Wyoming Mine, then took the old trail/road to Hemlock Mine, climbing toward the Wyoming Mine ridge where the Wyoming-Hemlock trail bent in a 'V' (where the trail switches from the Wyoming Mine ridge to the Hemlock Mine ridge). Plenty of loose rock. Plenty of cursing.

Panorama created with Hugin.
