yes, it was so deserted the day I went that the person at the mta ticket booth was fast asleep. Now, isn't that in a way just perfect. It's like coming down from a roller coaster and all you can feel is the moment your body catches up.

Without the story, the photo doesn't do much for me. I'm assuming the blur is a light reflection. Normally, a pole that bisects the photo is a no-no, but for some reason it actually divides the photo in an interesting way.

Hate to say it but I agree with the above. Interesting story, but unfortunately the image doesn't convey that story. I see that you wanted to include the booth in the shot to set the context and I think that's a good decision but I think you could probably have done with less of the booth and brought us closer to the subject and it would have been more effective.
