Ben Macdui from Devil's Point ascent
The second highest peak in the UK, at 1309m.
The wide angle perspective has somewhat masked the relief of the path we had just almost scrambled up - with the camera bag it was pretty tough going, but the view from the top certainly was a treat.
As you climb the path beside the water, towards the sharp drop-off of the saddle above, it appears as though the substantial torrent is flowing out of the sky, and the first time I clumb it I really was wondering where all that water could be coming from.
I'm sure it'll be an even harder climb at the moment..

Cable Beach Dawn
Cable beach is famous for its sunsets, not sunrises, but since I was in the pub for the former, a shot of a still fairly impressive example of the later will have to do.
Read more about the sunsets and moon-rises on my blog.

Kununurra
From Kelly's Knob.
I spent a fortnight in what is quite a nice part of West Australia - there's plenty to see nearby, including the (quite small) national park within walking distance of the town.
This was one of the nicest places to go at sunset - offering a 360 degree view over Kununurra and the Hidden Valley national park and, because to get to this spot you have to trespass on the Aviation Authority's land, I generally got the spot all to myself.

My morning
My website and blog are back up and running. I've not got any more posts and the url for the blog has changed if you're keeping up with it.
For the last 4 weeks I've been picking mangoes in Mataranka, a small village on the highway south of Katherine.
6 or 7 days of the week see me up at 5 and picking the first mango at 6, just as the sun comes up. The bus usually gets us into the field a few minutes early which is nothing short of a godsend, as those few moments of watching the clouds catch fire in almost complete silence are bliss.
Most days, we fill 33 of those blue bins - the mangoes in each one will retail for about $2000 - which takes us right through the searing midday heat to about 2pm.
