Thank you to everyone that voted for this photo tonight at the Milton Camera Club! I really appreciate it :)
Importance of winning?
I guess it's my insecurity, but I really find it very important to get
recognized for my photos. It's very rewarding but at the same time
it's reassuring to know that others appreciate the style or the
quality of my photography. I realize that there is a ton of people
that shoot for themselves and are happy with their work not being seen
by others, let me tell you, that's not me. I want for my work to be
seen by as many as possible.
Welcome to the easter egg special ;)
I rigged up a dropper with a valve to control the drops of yellow
colored milk (used food coloring). The milk is splashing directly
into a half egg shell inside the egg holder :)
Strobist info:
two 580ex ii flashes behind a white diffusing sheet behind the
subject.
small black foam core board behind the subject for background and to
let the light wrap around and light the subject.
quick diagram explaining this setup done using (lighting diagram creator)
I think this is a good time to mention that the concept and execution credit for this easter egg splash photo belongs to my art/creative director, my Wife :) Thanks for the support baby. I love you!

Lovely picture. Too bad you don't upload bigger pictures her since I would love to see the details around the egg.
