Here Dr. Gomez is treating a baby that is malnourished and sick in a small Mam tribal village in the mountains of western Guatemala. Unfortunately, the only health care that villagers can afford (they make an average of US$2 a day) is when people like Dr. Gomez travel to these villages to provide rudimentary health care. To me, this is a somber moment and thought.

this is somber,indeed. this is absolutely appalling. and yet,isn't it just the way of the world? if it wasn't for the have nots, the haves wouldn't have what they got. peace to all who bear the burden.
