Musee de Louvre

On the day I took this particular photograph I had just left the Musee d'Orsay. I had intended on touring the Louvre next only to discover that the majority of the museums were closed on that particular day of the week.

Since the Louvre was closed I decided to walk downtown Paris and explore a bit. When I spotted the glass pyramid that sits atop the Louvre I walked over to get a closer look then journeyed down this corridor. I was tickled to be able to get a small glance inside at the main statue gallery and was overly excited to go to the museum the following day.

I fell in love with the Louvre. It became my absolute favorite place to be in Paris. I shall never forget it. :)

For those interested in the camera used for this and all my Paris photos they were taken with an Olympus superzoom 120, 35mm.
