You speak of the city of ease

In those dreams strung together like chains

Processions that pass in the rain, they call my heart by another name

The second line goes drifting through, taps your shoulder, listen

The brass band blows a slow sad note

      It's a missive

Know that hunger, a tug on your coat

I'm here I'm here again again

Wolf at the door and the world thrown through you. Out in the wool and the cane

What would you speak on those dead end streets

Who could you win for and what would you stay for?

Nothing but time to put back in the passage

Homeless at home a brown paper package

Time, sweet time. like a big jet plane

(Bones made coal burned turning oil, and soal sand paste )

Gone for good won't be back again.

One of my favorite NOLA pieces. My wife and I have been trying to figure out whose work it is, that and the "you go girl".

I love this building, especially looking at it from the levee across the river.
