Nora and I just adopted a boxer/mastiff mix hurricane Katrina rescue dog! She is absolutely adorable. Total love at first sight. She walked promptly over to us and sat in my lap!

Yeah, I was a bit nervous about the Mastiff mix thing too, but when we saw her, she really looks like 80-90% boxer with just some mastiff in her face. She's a good size - not too huge, not too tiny. And really, could YOU have said "no thanks" to that face??

Her name is Levee. More specifically, it's M.C. Levee -- the hurricane Katrina dog that moved from Mississippi to Chicago (hence the M.C. part).
