Thanks!

I was leaving the office and there was an unexpected break in the storm we are having, saw that thing up there and broke out the gear again before the clouds converged.

And thanks some more!

Yeah, JC- it was handheld. My boss said he had an old tripod in the back of our storage area at the office, so I went in there and it was in pieces, not usable. So I just steadied myself against a wall, pointed up and snapped about 20 or so. The added focal length with this teleconverter made a noticable difference in size and detail. Color me happy!

Thank you!

Arvind, I'm kinda glad the tripod wasn't operable so I could do it this way.

Wow!!! :-O Beautiful shot Kevin!
The teleconverter actually makes a big difference in detail and size!
I've tried myself some hanheld shots of the moon, with the whole 48X Zoom and the I.S. system activated, but they are way too blurry compared to this. :-O
Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks a lot! Yeah, the teleconverter really kicked it up a bit to get some extra detail.

Just bought a teleconverter myself - amazing results, and a damn sight easier than strapping binos to my point and shoot!
