i have moved into a small town,
surrounded by forest.
deer are constantly grazing around me.
such peace emanating from these creatures.
so gentle.
so present.
so strong.
so incredibly graceful and beautiful.
i have totally fallen in love with them.

and hoping.
and dreaming.

.... still delving inward to find the right way.

i'm still childlike yet serious
cautious and mysterious
and sensitive, oh-so-sensitive

my hair is still curly,
my decisions, still murky.
and i still can't stop thinking ... hooray.

i still smile but withhold
i don't think i'll ever truly be bold
but i try to nurture my confidence each day.

i'm still striving and will endure
but one thing is for sure ...
i will always be,

... gay.
