A beautiful room. However as I see frequently the window treatment is not shown. I too have a blue room and an oriental rug which has the light blue of my walls as one of several colors My problem is to decide:1. Finding a fabric for bed coverings and window treatments ...and the appropriate type of treatment.
Any ideas or rules ?

The floorcovering is just ivory carpet, nice for a bedroom. I would suggest you spend an afternoon with some design magazines (or on some more websites, like House Beautiful) and collect a folder of bedroom pictures you like. Take those and a sample of your paint to a local decorating shop and they'll know what fabrics to show you.
The rule is, choose what pleases you, but consult an expert to help with shape and proportion.
