Nungin Hermitage

묘향산 보현사 능인암(妙香山 普賢寺 能仁唵).

After so many visits to the Myohyang Mountains, I finally made it to Nungin Hermitage. At an altitude of 1200m, this is the highest hermitage in the Myohyang Mountains and one of the most difficult to reach. It took me three hours of hard climbing to get there but it was worth the effort. The view of the hermitage with Pobwang Peak in the background was breathtaking.

The present building dates from 1780.
