It's true!

In September, I left my job in publishing to focus my efforts and energy entirely on building connections and searching for a job that relates to sexuality, public health, and family planning--namely, my dream job. My full-time job was killing me, destroying me, and zapping all of my creative energy. I couldn't get out the job apps in time, nor could i follow up on connections or do volunteer work.

I don't have an external financial support system and have been working odd jobs, freelance telemarketing, and some small business consulting to maintain my quality of life. It's challenging, but I feel like I'm taking the right steps to build the life that i want, the life that is going to be sustainable and exciting.

What's more! I have so much more energy. I can apply for jobs and create art and meet people and do all the things that I love to do! I have an amazing emotional support system that is my lovely urban family, my penpals, and my paper journal. I feel like my life has never been better, that things will only get better as I work harder. It's amazing!

That is true! I live in a museum and make weird things out of antique garbage. I wear my pyjamas more than my clothes and I eat dessert first! I go to bed when I want, and get up when I'm done sleeping. Life is full of opportunities, we must take the choice to pick the right ones. :D
