The orphanage kids were overjoyed at our arrival - apparently not many people visit on weekdays, and we brought toys for them, too. As soon as Ms. Carrick gave us the approval to take photos J and I took them out, and were promptly mobbed by thirty of them, wanting us to take shots of them in every pose possible.

The kids were trying to help us cut bricks. They probably did a better job than we did.

It's a little hard to believe that the people do everything in this river, including bathe, use it as a toilet, clean their clothes, use the water for boiling and drinking... And even play.

Hello

She was sitting on a stool while the rest of the curious kids and adults crowded around the strange looking foreigners trying to carry bricks. They were especially interested in the Asian one with the black thing that could snap.
I politely pointed to her to one of the women and motioned if I could take a photo of her. She eagerly nodded and I did. I thought that I'd just get another shot because I had a paranoid feeling the first one was slightly out of focus, but apparently the little old lady had no idea I was taking a photo of her just then and panicked, before calming down after some reassuring from the other villagers. She agreed to another one, but this first shot was much better than the second one.
