Lovely shot, these covered bridges are just fantastic. The vibrant blue of the sky is also wonderful.

That's the CP filter. I also drag the luminescence of the blue channel down a touch to make the color richer. The snow was difficult, it's all washed out. I ran an HDR to improve the snow. But, I think the contrast of this conventional image has much more impact. I use the AdobeRGB color space for my photos and sometimes it's hard to judge the color from the RAW straight out of the camera. I find the RAW color data is usually very toned down from what I remember in the scene. It often takes careful coaxing to recover the color from the scene.

CP? Circular Polariser filter? That was the only way I ever got good shots by the water.

A CP basically cuts the sky-light down a stop. It also does the same thing with reflected sky-light on objects.
