I got tired of just saying "Great shot" etc. all the time so I came up with this system. Strictly my personal opinion. Zero to five points:
1. Interesting subject: 5
2. Composition: 5
3. Lighting: 5
4. Focus: 5
5. Shutter speed: 5
6. Depth of field: 5
7. Color rendering: 5
8. Matte and/or frame: n/a
8. What I especially like: Exciting perspective, nice prop blur
9. Marked as a favorite: Y

Keep coming back to this shot, it is SO great! Only a Viet Nam Marine could know how to truly appreciate the old Spads! Pin-point fire support and could hang around for hours and hours.......
God Bless those old Spad drivers.

Thank you, sir! I missed a lotta shots cause of the slow shutter speed, but when I got one, well....

How was Luke? Looks like you got some awesome shots!

Luke was great! The weather on arrival day sucked until late afternoon, but it was still cool watching a lot of the static stuff come in. Saturday was excellent, with a few disappointments - the V-22 demo was canceled (Robert drove all the way out from El Paso, pretty much just for that), the F-22 dropped out of the heritage flight with some mechanical problem, and the C-17 demo was canceled due to a problem as well. Other than that it was great - we got on base early and got static shots we otherwise wouldn't have gotten, and the A-10 and F-22 demos were both mindblowing.

What a shot - congratulations. As a mild matter of interest, why were they nicknamed 'spads'?

Ken's Aviation  Pro User  says:

As the only prop plane among all the jets, the jet pilots gave it the derogatory nickname of SPAD (after the French WWI aircraft). The A-1 pilots picked it up as a matter of pride.

Thanks - I've often wondered. It's obviously like us RW types being referred to as 'chopper pukes' by the FW Mafia in RN carriers - until they banged out 50 miles out and needed rescuing!

XP, "Spad" was also the callsign of the 6th Special Operations Squadron when they flew A-1s out of NKP Thailand. I have quite a few cockpit recordings made by FACs of airstrikes being put in by "Spad" aircrews.
