This architectural marvel is the ticket office at Wemyss Bay railway station. I was there recently (for the first time since I was sixteen) en route to catching the ferry to Rothesay, on a trip to celebrate my parents' Golden Wedding.
It was rather odd to find myself in places which were so familiar, but which I had never photographed before. Interestingly, there is a sign at the ticket office which indicates the engineer who built it, was a certain Donald Mathieson, so there may be a family connection? Nah...probably not! ;-)
