Pathetic splint

I walked nearly six miles with only this holding my left leg together. Two sticks and long underwear: give me these, and I can move the earth.

Oh, I took it off when we reached the car. As I relaxed the knot, I heard the stream feeding the falls begin correspondingly to rush and fill and waters to fall with renewed vigor and volume. We barely made it out of the park, hydroplaning the last fifty feet.
