Elsie Cole

again, i shot this photo for me. the paper i work for's print quality probably couldn't handle the highlights very well. this photo's quality is better than the one of hercules because she was sitting next to the lamp that lit the room.

Hercules and Elsie Cole invested in a house in 1995 that they later came to believe was a lemon. The house was built on a landfill, the exterior was not treated, and the chimney pulled away from the home. They recently had to dismiss their case without prejudice but plan to enter it into another court.

Great shot, but the Hercules photo is much much stronger. I hope Elsie isn't jealous that you treat her husband better. The lighting is spot on, but the thing that's bringing this photo down a notch is her "in-between" expression. Hercules's pic exudes a kind of dispair in his posture and expression, and the dark, moody lighting drives home that point. Elsie looks like she's in mid-sentence, I'm assuming, talking to the reporter. Wait for her to react to what she's talking about, then capture the moment. Still, really great stuff, kiddo! ...can I borrow five bucks?
