Located at Carrer de Balmes, 215 in the north-west of the city centre. The Cine Balmes opened on 25th December 1953 with Gregory Pack in "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" and Margaret Lockwood in "Highly Dangerous". It had a seating capacity of 740.
Operated from 1972 until 1981 by the Balana group, it was taken over by Cinesa and was closed around 2003. It has been converted into a health club/spa and gym by 2008.
