Located at Avinguda Diagonal, 458 in the city centre. The Cine Diagonal opened on 24th February 1961 with Howard Keel in "The Big Fisherman". It had a seating capacity of 999 in orchestra and balcony levels. It was taken over by the Balana group in April 1963 and in recent years was operated by Cinesa. Closed in the early 2000's, it has been converted into lighting/houshold furnishing store Biosca & Botey. There are still traces of the auditorium remaining, particulary the original drapes on the auditorium walls.
