Cine Arenas, Barcelona, Spain
Located at Carrer De La Coberta 22-24, close to the Placa d'Espanya, the Cine Arenas opened in December 1928 with a seating capacity of 1,500. It was renovated in 1943 and taken over by the Balana group. During the 1960's it began screening sexploitation films, and closed in around 2003. The interior was gutted and is now a sports store.
The rear of the building is in use as the Arenas Cine Gay, screening regular films to a gay male audience, with a space provided for screening gay porn films.
