Located at 2755 Webster Avenue in the Bedford Park district of Bronx, New York City. The Garden Theatre opened in 1914. It had closed by 1926 due to larger more modern theatre's being opened nearby.
Now in use as a boiler repair store.

I am such a sucker for these 'teens theatres which have the large center entry; cool in the daytime, a spectacular blast of light at night. They are architecture that truly found its own, particular face to present to the street, they could be nothing else but theaters, & they were theatrical.

And just a couple of blocks away from an old Edison studio, too, that building was still there when I was a kid.
