First opened in 1938 as the Topical News Theatre, the only newsreel cinema to operate in a London Underground station building. It was later known as the Time News Theatre, Times Cinema, Jaceyland, Times Centa 1-2, then Cannon, MGM and ABC Baker Street. Closed in January 1999 and is now converted into a tourist souvenir shop.

I saw the David Hockney film 'A Bigger Splash' at the old Times Centa cinema about 1983. Made a huge impression on me. Lovely cinema, central location. Shame it no longer exists.
