This is wonderful. I have to admire your talent; when I was taking or trying to take a photo like this of Right Whales in Novia Scotia, I kept clicking a second or two too late. I would click just as the whale re-entered the water.
So ,not only is this a sharp, colorful and beauitiful photo it demonstrates perfect timeing.

No, this was from a panga. No diving. Blue whales are in the waters off of Loreto every winter, and there are several whale-watch operations that you can use to see them. Thank you for the nice comments. It is an amazing thrill to see these animals up close, they are the largest animal to have ever lived. I would love to see one underwater sometime. ++Ken++
