Chawne's Scarf
More flickr catchup - a swap scarf for Chawne. The stitch pattern is from a Japanese stitch dictionary, very lightly modified to make the rib and reverse stockinette sections the same height.
I knit this with Cascade 220 Superwash which exceeded my expectations, becoming extremely soft and drapey after blocking. Yay!
(this is what my desk looks like under the blue background, a big cutting mat, and a pile of skirt pattern pieces)

Baby quilt
For Rob's brother's new son. It's crib sized, a bit shy of 45x60in.
300 squares sounds like a lot of sewing but isn't so bad. I pressed my seams to the side for the first time which made lining up the seams easy but my walking foot was not a fan. I had to quilt this pretty slowly or the walking foot would get stuck at each bump. Boo.
