C-17 First Flight 1991

Sept. 15, 1991: The first flight of T-1 takes place from Long Beach Municipal Airport to Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. The flight crew included pilot Bill Casey, co-pilot Lt. Col. George London of the 6510th Test Wing, loadmaster Ted Venturini and flight test engineer George Van de Graaf, both McDonnell Douglas personnel.
