In iPhone user guide, Apple notes that not all GSM SIM cards may work with the iPhone & visa versa This "iPhone support tool" is a good take-off from the iPhone support docs. The drawings are copied from similar images used in Apple's support docs. Like the original Mac line, Apple prefers to use commonly found tools for user replaceable parts. The most obvious is a small paper clip. Who wouldn't have at least one around their home? The paper clip was also used as a manual diskette eject tool if one ever failed to fully eject. The creator of this "iPhone support tool" used the wrong paper clip however. Apple's support doc's specify a small, thin paper clip. The larger paper clip in the photo is too large and probably won't work. Might even damage the SIM tray. Cheers! Posted 9 months ago. ( permalink )
