Polar bears and their cubs feed off the carcass of a minke whale that washed ashore last year. As the snow melts and ice retreats, the remains become more accessible to a number of polar bears in the region. We see a mother fend off a lone male at the feeding site with her cub between her legs, and then watch the same mother and cub feed together on a sinewy piece of whale tendon.
