Big Spring Park

Big Spring Park by Kevin Coppock.
An attempt at doing an HDR shot by hand in Photoshop. Came out pretty unrealistic, but I still liked it.

Thanks :)

The trees in the middle I couldn't ever get right, though. I was trying to mask the top layer (the one exposed for the highlights for the sky) and everytime I'd adjust it, it would either leave no changes, or make the tops of the trees look transparent. I settled for the slightly transparent. :P

How. This is amazing. How much editing did you do in photoshop? Non-the-less, the composition is beautiful and the reflection, just.. wow.

I appreciate the comment! It's funny to me that the pictures I don't favor as much usually garner the most views. I guess I tend to be more critical of myself. :D

As far as editing, you can see the originalhere. I basically took one RAW image, made a highly exposed image and a darker exposed image from it, and masked out parts of each layer to get a good mix of tonality from each (I'm too poor to afford Photomatix, lol!)

I had a good subject though, it's a beautiful park, that was my first time going there, and I didn't take as many shots as I would have liked.
