Ephemeral

Ephemeral

Nikon D80 Nikon 70mm

A little Lightroom 3.6 fun. Normally I shoot with film, but had the D80 out tonight and this photo is actually an HDR photo. 3 shots combined, then color reduced 95%, and then some vignetting done.

Ephemeral-

transitory, transient, fleeting, passing, short-lived, momentary, brief, short; temporary, impermanent, short-term; fly-by-night.

I took this photo when I was done shooting film with the Mamiya RB67. It was almost dark, and this cemetery was on the way home. I got to pondering time, and was listening to the story of how Albert Einstein got started and some his questions about this life. So I got to thinking of our lives and how fast time goes as you get older. I drove up on these graves. One after the other. There's only one way out..The natural progression of time...the grass between the graves showing the passing of decades in each persons lives from their relative. The past is history, but that one day awaits us. The foreground is dimmed because each of us lives each in their own moment. Don't worry about tomorrow just concentrate on living and loving the best you can do today. I hope this photo conveys that....

Greg...

I forgot digital can also be fun....
