love the motion here - he really looks like he's racing somewhere. is it just to get out of your frame!?

My favourite of your recent shots - I guess because despite the grainy treatment (which I like, incidentally), it feels more real than some of the others, with their bright colours and unusual perspectives. That's not to say I don't think the others aren't good, just that this is more to my personal taste.

conorwithonen: Yes, he was trying to get out of the frame. Normally, I would respect his wishes but the streetlight behind me was casting my shadow in front of me and on to the embankment. I was looking for an opportunity to hide this; a jogger wouldn't do because I was shooting at 16mm and the jogger would have to pass so close to the camera in order to successfully hide my shadow so when the biker came along, I saw my chance . . . (he was never going to be identified from the picture anyway but he didn't know this).
an untrained eye: Unfortunately, I am not really comfortable with photographing strangers so this is a one-off :(
(My vision of London is more about bright light and colors with a touch of darkness; the unusual perspective is because every landmark has been shot thousands of time before so I try to find a different way of seeing London - if I can).

Cool. Looks like a good old-fashioned bleach bypass. It's great because it emphasizes the grit. Wonderful work.

Feint reds, distinct blues and bright yellows in one image, as David above me says, my favourite London photographer without a single doubt in my mind!
