DLR Tunnel (2)

Family commitments have kept me away from photography (and Flickr) for most of the year and I am not sure that this will ease off . . .

I photographed this DLR Tunnel from a moving train one night after visiting my sister (she lives on the DLR route).

London Westminster: The Sun Won't Set

A cliched moment.

Just realised that:
(1) Last Sunday was the first day I picked up a camera this month
(2) I haven't visited Flickr in a long while

I am not quite sure I liked anything I shot on Sunday so here's one I shot earlier . . . I try not to post too many Westminster shots on my stream but the sky here mirrors what London has been going through in the last few days so I felt it was an appropriate image to put online.

Big Ben (outtake from Day 150)

An outtake for Day 150 which I shot last year.

This was the position from which I had planned to shoot Day 150's image but the gentleman stopped and stood right in front of the camera and wouldn't move.

I took a few shots hoping to get a reaction out of him but he just ignored me so I moved the camera and tripod to a new position.

(Just one of a few candids in my archive which I discovered over the weekend).

Day 194: South Bank Fountain

While looking for Candid photographs to post to another Social Networking site, I came across this (and others) and just realised that I've never put them here.

(They were shot as part of the 365 Days last year).

London Bridge Sunset

My mum's been in hospital for most of this year but she was finally discharged on Tuesday (20 May) and I hope I can now manage to find time for photography (though I also have exams in June).

This was shot on Wednesday (21 May); I think it's probably my first visit to this area of London this year.

I am not too happy with my form due to the long layoff but I hope to be able to produce work that I am happy with as the year progresses.

This image was processed with DPP because it's been a few weeks since I've opened Lightroom and I am not yet looking forward to importing and tagging a backlog of files in my catalog.

(The foreground bridge is London Bridge and the towers are Cannon Street Station Towers and St Pauls Dome).
