Most of the bird shots are with 300 f/4 L (non-IS old version) and a canon 1.4x. camera is 40d. I use 420ex as fill flash on most of my shots. flash compensation between -1 to -2 for middle-tones/ bright birds and +1 to +2 for dark birds.
