A serene Sunrise at Muttukadu River, with the Indian Ocean in the background.
My family often wonder why the hell I wake up so early on Sundays, and head out with my camera gear. When they see images like this, they know the answer.
This was captured at 6:41 am, just a few minutes after sunrise...probably the last moments before the light from the sun became too intense to shoot directly.
The moment was unique as not only did I capture the birds in the foreground, which was what was my intention, but I also realized the boatmen heading out to fish in the ocean, which you can see in the background. I realized this only when reviewing the pictures later. Sometimes photography brings you nice surprises.
