Just Like a woman...

Just Like a woman...

You make love just like a woman, yes you do....Then you ache just like a woman....But you break just like a little girl.#dylan

Oscillating Thoughts

Oscillating Thoughts

String theory says that the electrons and quarks within an atom are not 0-dimensional objects, but rather 1-dimensional oscillating lines called Strings.

Now only if these strings like the never ending loop of my thoughts could be put in a theory and understood too. Strings of silver that cut. Strings that bind. Strings that oscillate from bright ambers to charcoal hues.

Shot these moving paper bells instillation on Multiple exposures on D90.

Keys Found. Memory Locked. Soul Lost. #sixwordstory

Keys Found. Memory Locked. Soul Lost. #sixwordstory

Shot this with a 50mm in a crowded market on a hot afternoon in Jodhpur market. Somewhere in my photography, I lost my fascination for doors and locks ( !!! ) and started liking the rusted old keys. Wonder how many locks they would have opened. Wonder how many attempts would have been made and how many attempts failed.

Here lies a message somewhere. In the scratched old rusted bunch of keys. Like old forgotten memories. Like lost prayers. Like waking wishes. Like several attempts at breathing under water. Like scars. They have stories to tell. Of attempts. Of wasted valour. May all our rusted keys find the locks they are meant for ....before they get pitted and corroded.

Her Silent Reverie

Her Silent Reverie

Music on her quivering lips,
And Rhythm on her aching sole,
Meera danced in wait for her Krishna...
Tangled up in the notes of her reverie,
Abyssal story with no ending.
But in the blurs of her prayers,
She continued to whirl and burn,
For for Him, her lord, her lover...

( Took This shot of a folk dancer in Jaipur. Somehow with her face covered, and her dancing non stop for hours, the she reminded me of the story of Meera's devotion for Krishna. Hence the title and the picture. Shot with D90 with 50mm lens)

Waiting at the End of Road Not Taken

Waiting at the End of Road Not Taken

Once two roads diverged on a rocky mountain downhill,
She walked down the path that didnt promise better claim,
But it looked less beaten and terra firma promised warmth.

Sitting by the end of that road,
She awaits the traveler who might turn up,
In search of the warmth or just a familiar tune,
On the road less travelled...

( Thank u Robert frost for the inspiration on words and to this woman who sat still like this for minutes. For a while I felt that she was really waiting for someone and her heart was frozen in the process. Something hard about the stones and her face and the way her face is turned to look at the pathway) This is a bracketed shot. Yes. 3 different shots superimposed. ;) that lends an amazing tone to the stones and now you know that the woman was REALLLY still!!!!
