Reminds me of one of Robert Frost's poems, "Birches."

"When I see birches bend to left and right
Across the lines of straighter darker trees,
I like to think some boy's been swinging them.
But swinging doesn't bend them down to stay
As ice-storms do. Often you must have seen them
Loaded with ice a sunny winter morning
After a rain. They click upon themselves
As the breeze rises, and turn many-colored
As the stir cracks and crazes their enamel.
Soon the sun's warmth makes them shed crystal shells
Shattering and avalanching on the snow-crust—
Such heaps of broken glass to sweep away
You'd think the inner dome of heaven had fallen."

Snow falls once again... : )

I'd love some opinions.... I don't do "snow photos" often. What do you think? In one of the classes I took years ago, someone said I was a Hallmark card photographer. I see images like this and think she was right. ; )

A western fall night... why does this remind me of an old black and white cowboy movie when it is in full color and has some serious hills?? This was from October, driving around just west of Steamboat in the Elk River area. Beautiful land, huh? I feel like two cowboys are going to trot right down that road...

One of Steamboat's famous barns... it's hard not to take photos of it with the ski mountain directly behind.

Sun setting on the not so snowy ski trails of Steamboat, although we've received 8 inches since this photo last week, and we are supposed to get 10-15 inches more by Sunday. Yea! We need it!
