One of Jackson's odder poems (he has several I find rather odd):
O baby, don't be frightened.
There were robbers here last night;
They climbed up to the cellar
And blew out the 'lectric light;
They got down on the ceiling
And lifted all the rugs
And poked around for diamonds
In the big molasses jugs;
They hunted through the coffee cans,
The flour and sugar bins,
And carried off a butter bowl
And half a dozen pins."
