I'm back from our vacation/late honeymoon in the Virgin Islands! Instead of bombarding you with lots of uploads from our adventures, and then having you get increasingly resentful with each one, I thought I'd do a nice little collage.

We did lots of hiking and sightseeing. We saw cows, chickens, donkeys and goats just wandering down the road. We saw wildlife that we didn't even know existed. We saw something that looked like a combination squirrel-ferret. I call it a squeret. We hiked to a whole lot of ruins, went swimming in the very blue water, went snorkeling and even tried parasailing. Overall it was a pretty awesome trip.

This is a shot I took back in September of the building where I work. I was just deleting some old files off my computer before our trip, and kind of liked it.

We've leaving on Saturday to go on vacation! If I don't upload before then, I'm sure I will come back with some vacation photos to share.

Ever since we took Smokey to the vet the other day, and the vet declared one of his "quirks" to be a sign of intelligence and not "specialness" as I had suspected, I've thought that maybe he spends his days doing more than taking 5 hour naps and racing up and down the stairs like an angry elephant. Based on how our house looks two days after vacuuming, I bet he's up to other shenanigans.

2.8.12 And I'm done!!! DONE!!! 365 Days of self-portraits complete!

Thank you everyone for following along and giving me the motivation to stick with it and to push myself. I'm amazed at how much my photography and editing skills have improved over the course of a year. I ended up with a portfolio of photos that I never planned on having, much stronger photoshop skills, a new camera, and few new lenses and a new tripod. I started the year out just planning on documenting each day, but the project slowly evolved. I never would have been able to create some of these images on day one. Really...I could barely get my camera to focus on me...

I never thought I'd have this many people following along with my photos. So once again, thank you everyone! Your photos and comments inspired me and helped me to make it through this project.

I plan on taking a short amount of time off from posting anything, but I'm sure I will be back soon. Probably not with anything as crazy as a 365 project, but still something.

I won't be bothering you again with this for a little while, so feel free to like my new facebook page if you want to! I haven't put together a before and after yet, but I will certainly put it up there soon.
