This is the winner for me..maybe not being able to see whole house leaves something to the imagination. This shot just seems more balanced. I like it..well done.

I like this one better--the tires so effectively mimic the mountains, and there is more mystery with the single house--you really have to stop and question the scene, and think about what's happening. This is just a wonderful shot, so nicely balanced and exposed!

Hello ponyintheair. Thanks for the offer of a print. I couldn't get down to see the exhibition, sadly, so a memento would be really nice. Did you enjoy seeing your image and the rest of the show?

Shutterhack says:

"Composition" comes from "composite," which has more to do with a variety of elements coming together as a whole. In a composition parts are related precisely because of the whole. One of main factors to be taken into account when we compose is relationship between elements of a photograph. The question I'd like to raise will sound something like this "What is it about the relationship of the objects in a picture that makes it interesting to see?" For example at f2.8, the compositional relationship of the main subject to its surroundings will be much different than at f22. It still seems to me that this photo here was created with very good compositional qualities and a sure excellent piece of work.

This is beautifully composed..so simple yet with alot of feeling....it makes me think about how life in this country can be affected by urbanisation and traffic. I hope the house managed to survive being swalled up....
