Five ways

Five ways

This house sat at the middle of a five way road. The view from the Fortress atop the hill in Salzburg is great for spotting these incredible homes. Especially as it has been snowing this week, the alps covered in snow, the homes and cars dusted with white. Snow never ceases to amaze us Aussies!

Eiffel tower at night

Eiffel tower at night

Many photos have been taken of the Eiffel Tower... not so many in pouring rain. I did these long exposures by holding my cleaning cloth over the lens until I was ready to take the shot, whipping it off at the last minute and Ta DAAAAH! At least this one turned out!

I love how the reflections turned out, adverse weather conditions are incredible for photography. Just don't drop your camera in the water!

Fountain at the Piazza della Repubblica

Fountain at the Piazza della Repubblica

Golden hour is pretty dreamy, especially when visions like this happen right next to you! This is the fountain at the Piazza della Repubblica, the light was streaming down the street, hitting the water at just the right angle.

The Red Doors

The Red Doors

There's nothing more European than a vespa in front of a historic building. I loved the red doors of the church in Aix-en-Provence, found on the Cezanne walk through the city.

Sunset over Pont du Gard

Sunset over Pont du Gard

Pont du Gard is a UNESCO world heritage site that features an aqueduct built by the Romans in 19 BC. It also features the world’s most expensive historical site parking. 18 euros later we had access to history. Mum and I walked up to the top of the aqueduct and “touched time”, as she so fondly described it. I find it amazing that a thing so old could still be standing after more than 2000 years.
