It has been calm again on my flickr and it'll stay for awhile. I wish I could say I'm just have no time because of too many shootings, but quite the opposite is the problem: no shootings. My inspiration and will is a little bit gone. So this photo is from a commission for the portrayed friend. And I have another job that want to be done - but nothing with models, just photos from the harbour and anything that fits the theme. I'm grateful for being able to earn money with my photography, but it isn't something I want to do for living my whole life - like I thought a long time. Now, I'm concentrating on studying and enjoying a students life!

Even if I think I improved alot with the last shootings, it feels like I'm losing myself. Not that I think, I had a particular style that developed over the years, but the current photos doesn't fit this stream and somehow me. Maybe it's because I always took self portraits in a more concept way and not in a fashion editorial way. But I hoped the one thing would influence the other - but it's not, in my opinion. I'm working hard on that, let's see when it pays off.

One cute little story about this photo: I worked just with the two models and therefore had no assistent to hold the reflector I really wanted to incoporate for the lighting. And there were this two young (about 10 years old) boys, that watched us for quite awhile. So I asked one of them, to hold it. He didn't really see the differences and was skeptical, but held it conscientiously. After I was finished and I said 'Thank you', he answered 'Thank you - ahm, you're welcome!' Just too sweet!!

A wonderful model I came across the other day on a german model and photographer site. This was our first shooting and we plan to do a LOT more photoshoots in the very near future. I'm looking very forward to realize my ideas and concepts and also to portray what is in her mind. So, stay tuned! :)

I was so excited before this job, because it's actually the first time I've ever worked with a model and a make-up and hairstylist! But in the end there was really no reason to be that nervous. There were both very nice woman to meet and work with.
