What’s up?

What’s up? by kartoffel.
I found this spider on my wall and “invited” her/him down for some photos; she/he was released into the bush outside my window after a long photo session :-). This spider is actually very tiny, I think around 5mm, I didn’t see these eyes when taking the photos, otherwise I think she/he would be freed much earlier. While checking the photos I also realized that she/he lost one front leg, hopefully was not due to my “invitation”.

The yellow background was the dead leafs that I used to “invite” her/him.

Amazing macro, and amazing that it let you photograph it for a long time! It looks as if it has many eyes!
Re: the scaffolding, I took it from a footbridge in Wanchai. That way I was almost on the same level as the construction workers.
Re: The fish in the habour? I think some are eatable. But I am not sure what type are available. My brother used to fish by the harbour but that was many many years ago.

Great shot! It looks a lot like a spider I saw on a documentary on tv a few weeks ago.

And to answer your question, I have no fears of bird flu, we haven't had it here in Australia yet anyway. But it wouldn't stop me photographing birds even if we did have it here. :-)
