The Ninja Dolls' Album Launch Concert at Harry's, Falun by Karl Gunnarsson

The Ninja Dolls' Album Launch Concert at Harry's, Falun

Tough lighting at Harry's. Panzer Princess and The Vietcong Pornsürfers were also playing and I hardly have usable photos of them.

But I did experiment with a radio triggered SB-26 flash in my left hand. I obviously need more practice but the results can be nice, I think. I just don't have very good control over the flash.

Anyway, I rather like this photo from that night.

The Tallest Man on Earth @ S2, Borlänge by Karl Gunnarsson

The Tallest Man on Earth @ S2, Borlänge

It only took me two months to get to this but here's another photo from The Tallest Man on Earth concert at S2.

He was great, as always, and even if I didn't get many keepers I finally feel like I have at least a couple of decent photos of him.

Pretty please view it large as he looks tired and/or cross eyed in the medium one here above. He isn't, really.

Red Wall by Karl Gunnarsson

Red Wall

So, I tried scanning negatives from my Minolta Autocord today. Mainly I wanted to see if it focuses correctly after the tumble it took, jolting the mirror loose, and the subsequent repair, administrated by Mr. Ten Thumbs, AKA me.

I'm totally green to this scanning thing and it shows. Worst of all I had a bit of a misunderstanding with the scanner and the film holders so that didn't help.

Anyway, my Autocord seems to be fine despite the tumble. I'm going to give scanning another go next week and get some film in preparation for doing something worthwhile with it.

Mother of God + contralight by Karl Gunnarsson

Mother of God + contralight

Not a good photo but such a great example of what I think is the awesome Nikon Series-E 75-150mm f/3.5 only weakness: Performance in contralight.

Mother of God @ Seaside festival 2009 by Karl Gunnarsson

Mother of God @ Seaside festival 2009

Second time that I see Mother of God on stage and they're heavy and tight. Also, they actually do play stoner rock.
