Södermalm Rockabilly by Karl Gunnarsson

Södermalm Rockabilly

Originally I had notions of running into the street to get a photo of the guy with the shoe in his hand. Luckily that boy came along and I snapped a photo of him instead. Running into the street on Ringvägen isn't the smartest thing to do.

Seems I'm all in the vertical nowadays.

Marie will have an article published in the next issue of Datorn i utbildningen and they wanted a couple of photos from her school for the article.

I've never done anything like this before and it showed. Learned a lot though and managed to send in two pictures for the editors to chose from for each of the two photo slots in the article, so four photos in all. Lots of bad shots but at least I was pleased enough with the four I chose, Marie more so and seemingly the editor too.

The photo above will be one of the two used for the article.

I'm rather pleased that they picked this photo as the main, full page photo for the article. The focus is a bit soft in the foreground but I'm rather pleased with how the lighting turned out; after all I've never properly practiced with my flashes. Which I really should have as that took up way too much of my mental capacity to the detriment of other things that needed attention.

Ended up having my SB-26 on a tripod, as high up as I could get it, behind me bouncing from the ceiling and wall I had my back to. Put the SB-22 on one of the tables visible to the right and aimed it at the ceiling at full power.
